Introduction

Hello, this is Easygoing.

Today, I’d like to introduce a tool that allows anyone to easily generate images: EasyForge + ComfyUI.

With this tool, you can create high-quality images effortlessly!

What is EasyForge + ComfyUI?

EasyForge + ComfyUI is a tool released by Zuntan, which makes image generation incredibly simple for anyone.

You can install it with just one click, and it supports the latest Flux.1, enabling you to create high-quality images!

Didn't We Talk About EasyForge Before?

Yes, I’ve written a previous article about EasyForge.

On September 14, 2024, an update was released that added a feature to install ComfyUI with just one click. Today, I’ll introduce this new feature.

What is ComfyUI?

ComfyUI is a highly customizable AI generation tool.

With ComfyUI, you can automate various processes to your liking.

It even allows you to combine large language models (LLM) to automatically generate prompts from simple words.

Should I Use Forge or ComfyUI?

If you’re a beginner, start by trying ComfyUI included in EasyForge. You can generate high-quality images by entering just one word.

Once you get the hang of it, you can generate more illustrations using Forge, and if you want to customize even more, you can return to ComfyUI later.

The Actual Process

Now, let's walk through the installation steps.

Refer to the previous article for the EasyForge installation.

Running ComfyUI.bat

Once EasyForge is installed, the following files will be created:

Next, run ComfyUI.bat and the download will start once again.

Once the download finishes, ComfyUI will launch automatically!

Drag and Drop the Workflow

Next, drag and drop the "01-日本語LLMでFlux.json" file from the ComfyUI-Workflow folder into the ComfyUI window.

The workflow will be displayed on the screen, as shown.

Input single ward and Generate!

Write what you want to create in the red frame and click Queue Prompt in the upper right corner.

This will generate your image!

How to Speed Up the Process

Depending on your PC's specs, the generation process may take some time.

If you want to speed it up, you can skip the upscaling process as described in the Readme, which will make the process faster.

The generated images will be saved in the EasyForge\outputs\txt2img-images\ComfyUI folder.

Which is Easier to Understand: Stability Matrix or EasyForge?

Besides EasyForge, another easy way to install Forge and ComfyUI is by using Stability Matrix.

Stability Matrix is an open-source project developed by LykosAI, and it features a very user-friendly interface.

You can install packages like Forge and ComfyUI with just a click, and you can also manage models visually, making it easier to use.

EasyForge + ComfyUI is the Simplest

For ease of installation, EasyForge + ComfyUI wins. Even for complete beginners, ComfyUI will be up and running after executing just two .bat files.

While ComfyUI can be difficult to get used to, EasyForge + ComfyUI comes with pre-configured workflows, making it easy to generate image with a single word.

Image Quality with EasyForge + ComfyUI

Another advantage of EasyForge + ComfyUI is that it comes with flux_tool.

One of the essential features in flux_tool is the GGUF conversion.

Check out this article for instructions on converting FP16 to GGUF using flux_tool:

Since the article is in Japanese, you may need to use a browser translation tool if necessary.

Create the Optimal Model with flux_tool

Flux.1 models are large in size, so choosing the right model for your GPU and RAM is crucial for optimal performance.

Using flux_tool, you can create GGUF files of any size, allowing you to strike the optimal balance between speed and quality based on your hardware.

Stability Matrix for the Workplace

On the other hand, Stability Matrix has a superior user interface.

You can launch packages like Forge and ComfyUI with a simple click, and it’s easy to manage models visually, which makes it a great option when multiple people are sharing a PC at work.

While EasyForge + ComfyUI users are familiar with their setup, it can be confusing for others.

In a work environment where multiple people use the same setup, Stability Matrix may be a better choice.

However, even in that case, it’s recommended to also install flux_tool separately.
